About our Fundraiser
Hey there! Welcome to my fundraiser page! I’m so excited that you’re thinking about supporting me and joining me on this incredible cancer recovery journey. My journey hasn’t been easy. I’ve had a bilateral mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiation treatments, several reconstructive procedures. But the impact of the illness goes beyond the physical trauma. It’s also brought with it mental and emotional challenges, but I’ve managed to overcome them all. Dragon boat paddling has been my biggest victory, and it’s been my saving grace. It’s helped keep my mind hopeful and positive. I’m now a seven-year cancer survivor! Dragon boat paddling has been my lifeline. I’m thrilled to be able to compete in the International Dragon Boat Breast Cancer race! It’s only held every three years, and it’s like an Olympics for breast cancer survivor teams. This year’s race will be in France, and I’m doing everything I can to participate along with thousands of other paddlers around the world. That’s why I’m starting this fundraiser.
